Simple Piano privacy policy
ANIMIST OÜ (registry code 14092388, Estonia) provides this app. This policy explains its information handling and our support contact. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to appstore@animist.ee.
Playing and device information
Simple Piano processes MIDI performance input on your Apple TV. It has no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDK or separate app account, and does not send performances to an ANIMIST-operated server. It does not record microphone input or audio.
Bluetooth is used to discover compatible MIDI keyboards. Keyboard names and identifiers are stored locally for reconnection, along with sound and display preferences. Auto-Reconnect can be turned off in Settings.
MIDI recordings and export
The optional Recording feature stores MIDI events such as notes, velocity, sustain, pitch bend and modulation. Takes are held in a local Apple TV cache, which tvOS may clear. You can delete takes in the Recording panel.
Choosing Export makes the selected recording available through a temporary local-network download link. A device on the same local subnet with that link can download the file. Sharing stops when you close Export, leave the app, or after five minutes. The download uses unencrypted HTTP, so use a trusted network and do not share the link with others unintentionally.
The app does not upload this recording to an internet server, log download addresses, automatically back up the library, or directly use iCloud Documents or AirDrop on Apple TV. A file subsequently saved or shared through another app is handled by that service.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes the optional one-time Recording purchase. Simple Piano uses StoreKit to verify access and restore purchases; ANIMIST does not receive payment-card information through the app. Store transaction records and operating-system diagnostics are handled by Apple under its own privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Preferences and remembered keyboard details remain until changed or the app's local data is removed. Recordings remain until deleted or cleared by the operating system. Export important recordings separately before removing the app.
Deleting a take or uninstalling the app does not erase exported files on another device, Apple purchase records, or backups maintained outside the app.
Support and your rights
If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.
Service providers and international processing
Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. Contact ANIMIST for questions about providers involved in handling information we hold.
This website and policy changes
This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.
We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
