ReccePro privacy policy
ANIMIST OÜ (registry code 14092388, Estonia) provides this app. This policy explains its information handling and our support contact. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to appstore@animist.ee.
Routes, motion and vehicle data
ReccePro stores rally, stage and vehicle details, precise GPS coordinates and timestamps, motion recordings, route corrections, pace notes, race logs and export history. When you connect a supported OBD reader, recordings and diagnostics may also include vehicle telemetry and reader identifiers.
Location and motion are used to record and review the routes you work on. A recording can continue in the background while the necessary system permissions are available. Bluetooth is used for compatible OBD readers. Stop recording and manage permissions in system Settings when you do not want further capture.
Route recordings can reveal where you have travelled. Consider other people's privacy before entering identifying notes, capturing vehicle information or sharing a recording.
Local storage
The current app stores its SwiftData records and telemetry files on the device. Automatic CloudKit synchronization is disabled. It does not provide an ANIMIST account service, advertising SDK or developer-operated telemetry-upload service.
Local storage does not mean every feature is offline. Maps, place-name lookup and weather contact external services as described below. Operating-system backups may also include app data, depending on your settings.
Maps, place names and weather
Apple's map and geocoding services provide maps and place-name suggestions. Requests can disclose the relevant map area or coordinates and connection information to Apple.
When map or stage weather is loaded, ReccePro sends the relevant latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo to obtain a forecast. These requests may happen automatically when a weather view appears, and may use a current-location or saved-stage coordinate. Open-Meteo also receives the request's IP address and ordinary connection information. A weather request does not upload the entire recorded route.
Apple and Open-Meteo handle their service records under their own privacy notices.
Exports, diagnostics and deletion
Exports and backup packages can contain precise routes, timestamps, motion and vehicle samples, names and notes. They remain local until you share them through a destination you choose. Diagnostic and field-test packages can also contain sensitive recording information; review them before sending.
Records and files do not all share one deletion action. Deleting a rally or stage may retain raw recording files and exports for recovery. Recording deletion preserves files still used by another run, and a cleanup failure can leave files for later removal. Use Local Storage to review retained files and remove exports or backups separately.
The app does not automatically erase copies already exported to another device, held by recipients, or retained in system backups. No fixed automatic expiry is applied to your local recording library.
Support and your rights
If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.
Service providers and international processing
Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. This website and policy changes
This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.
We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
