OMT Streams Suite privacy policy

Desktop, mobile and TV · Last updated: 19 September 2026

ANIMIST OÜ (registry code 14092388, Estonia) provides this app. This policy explains its information handling and our support contact. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to appstore@animist.ee.

Scope and media processing

This policy covers OMT Streams Suite and its Android TV and Samsung TV receiver apps. Available inputs and controls vary by platform and version, including beta releases. The apps do not require an ANIMIST account or provide an ANIMIST-operated media cloud.

Selected camera images, screen content, files, test patterns and supported audio inputs are processed on your device and exchanged with the stream endpoints you connect. Selected peers receive the transmitted media and connection metadata. ANIMIST does not receive your stream content through a developer-operated collection service. Screen sharing can reveal anything visible in the selected capture area.

Networks and permissions

Discovery and transport use network addresses, ports, source names and connection information. Other devices on the network may see advertised sources. If you configure a discovery server or remote endpoint, that server or endpoint receives the requests needed for the connection. Use networks and receivers you trust; a streaming connection is not a promise of end-to-end encryption.

Depending on platform, the app requests camera, microphone, screen or system-audio capture, local-network access, or access to files you select. You can stop a stream and revoke available permissions in operating-system settings. Android screen capture uses the system consent prompt for each new capture session.

Settings and diagnostics

The apps can retain selected sources, file references, monitor tiles, audio/video preferences, manual addresses and startup setups locally. The Android app can retain the read permission granted for a selected media file; it does not retain screen-capture consent.

Diagnostic handling varies by platform. Windows writes local crash and session diagnostics in the OMT Streams Suite application-data Logs folder. Operating systems and native libraries may also produce local diagnostic records. Review logs for device names, paths or network details before sharing them with support.

Advertising on phones and tablets

The iPhone/iPad and Android phone/tablet implementations include Google AdMob banners and Google's User Messaging Platform. Earlier beta packages can differ. The macOS, Windows, Linux, visionOS, tvOS, Android TV and Samsung TV implementations do not include this AdMob integration.

Google and its advertising partners may process IP-derived approximate location, app or device identifiers, advertising interactions, performance data and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and security. This is separate from the media stream; stream frames and audio are not supplied to Google by the app's advertising integration.

Ads are requested only when the applicable consent flow permits them. Where offered, Privacy choices lets you revisit consent. Denying optional advertising consent does not remove the core media controls. Google's retention and partner practices are described in its own notices.

Retention and deletion

Live media is handled as a stream rather than uploaded into an ANIMIST media library. Local settings remain until changed, cleared using available app controls, or removed with the app's data. Desktop uninstallers may leave application-data folders and logs; those can be removed separately when the app is closed.

Removing local data does not remove source files, recordings or copies made by receivers, independently held advertising data, or operating-system backups. The receiving device or service controls any onward storage or sharing.

Support and your rights

If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.

Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.

Service providers and international processing

Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. Contact ANIMIST for questions about providers involved in handling information we hold.

This website and policy changes

This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.

We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
