MIDIPILOT privacy policy
ANIMIST OÜ (registry code 14092388, Estonia) provides this app. This policy explains its information handling and our support contact. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to appstore@animist.ee.
Local processing and stored sessions
MIDIPILOT processes and routes MIDI events on your device. It has no app account, advertising, analytics service or cloud login. Sessions, routing and processor settings, presets, scenes and selected MIDI-device identities are stored locally.
Session files can include endpoint names and identifiers, manufacturer hints and connection settings. MIDI-monitor output and diagnostics can contain musical events, device information and timing or connection measurements. Saving or exporting these files is separate from live routing.
Audio to MIDI
Microphone permission is requested when you start Audio to MIDI. The selected microphone or audio-interface input is processed in memory to recognize notes and expressive controls. The app does not save or transmit microphone recordings.
Generated MIDI is sent to the destinations you select, which may be other apps, hardware or network peers. Opening a saved session does not automatically start the microphone. You can stop capture or revoke microphone permission; MIDI-only features remain available.
Bluetooth and network connections
Bluetooth supports compatible nearby MIDI devices. Local-network permission supports discovery and bridging. Compatible Network MIDI and MIDIPILOT Direct exchange MIDI messages and connection information with selected peers.
MIDIPILOT Direct advertises a peer on the local network and supports approval of connections. Approval does not provide encryption or cryptographic authentication. Use trusted networks and approve only devices you recognize. Peer addresses, names and timing information may appear in connection diagnostics.
Sharing, retention and deletion
Importing and exporting sessions uses system file controls. Exporting a session or diagnostic shares the selected content only with the location or service you choose; that destination controls subsequent access. Review files before sending them to another person.
Saved sessions and preferences remain until you delete or replace them or remove app data. Desktop application-data files and exported copies may remain after uninstalling. Device backups and files stored through other services have separate deletion controls.
ANIMIST does not operate a server that receives your MIDI performances, microphone audio or private sessions through normal app use.
Support and your rights
If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.
Service providers and international processing
Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. Contact ANIMIST for questions about providers involved in handling information we hold.
This website and policy changes
This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.
We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
