Extreme Jousting privacy policy

iOS · Last updated: 31 October 2026

ANIMIST OÜ (registry code 14092388, Estonia) provides this app. This policy explains its information handling and our support contact. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to appstore@animist.ee.

About this policy

Extreme Jousting is a game with offline play, optional Game Center multiplayer and optional permanent ride and costume purchases. This policy covers the iOS app, including its beta builds. You do not need an ANIMIST account to play, and ANIMIST does not operate a separate player-account or gameplay database for this app.

The app includes Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform (UMP). The current beta uses test advertisements; test mode does not remove the SDK's network requests or privacy considerations. Availability of online features, purchases and advertisements can differ between builds.

Local game data and controls

The app stores selected rides and appearance, difficulty, control and sound preferences, comfort settings, offline results and separate completed online and practice match counters used to schedule advertising opportunities in local app storage. Match replay data is processed on the device for reviewing gameplay. ANIMIST does not receive these local records through a game backend.

Gameplay uses the on-screen joystick. The app does not read accelerometer, gyroscope, attitude or gravity sensors to control play, and has no motion calibration. Joystick commands and simulated movements are shared with other riders during online play. The game does not request access to GPS location, the camera, microphone, photo library or device address book. Advertising services can nevertheless infer an approximate location from an IP address.

Game Center and multiplayer

If you use Game Center, Apple handles authentication, matchmaking and invitations. The app receives game-specific player identifiers and display names for you and the other players in a match. During Duel and Derby matches, devices exchange control inputs, ride selections, game state, results and connection-timing information through GameKit so players can take part in the same game. Connection services necessarily process network information such as IP addresses. Other players in your match can see your display name and gameplay.

The Friends feature can ask permission to access Game Center friends who are available to this game. This is separate from your device's contacts. When you save a rider for a rematch, the app stores their display name and persistent Game Center identifier locally, associated with your Game Center account on that device. You can remove saved riders in the Friends screen. These bookmarks do not automatically add Apple friends or synchronize to another device.

Offline play remains available without granting friend-list access or joining an online match. Manage Game Center sign-in, friend sharing and activity visibility in Apple's settings. Apple processes Game Center activity under its own notice. Completed standard online victories can report your winning-series score and first-win achievement to Apple. Scores and activity may be visible to other Game Center users under Apple’s visibility rules and your settings. The app keeps an account-associated pending best score and first-win status locally to retry interrupted submissions; changing accounts does not transfer these values to the other account.

Advertising and privacy choices

Google AdMob supports menu banners, including Settings, and a full-screen ad opportunity after every tenth completed online match and every tenth completed practice match. The two counts are separate. Any currently verified ride or costume purchase removes banners and full-screen ads, including restored purchases. Ads wait while purchase ownership is being checked; a verified refund or account change can restore ads when no purchased products remain. Google and its advertising partners may process an IP address and approximate location, device or app identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These support ad delivery, measurement, analytics and service reliability, subject to your choices and the SDK configuration.

UMP contacts Google to update consent status and present privacy choices where required. The app waits for this process to succeed and for UMP to permit ad requests before initializing and loading ads. If that process fails, gameplay remains available without ads. Test advertisements can still involve Google services.

Where available, use AD PRIVACY CHOICES in the game's Settings to review or change advertising choices. AD PRIVACY / RETRY lets you retry a failed consent request. Apple's tracking permission is separate: you can refuse it and continue playing, or change it in your device's Privacy & Security settings. When tracking is not authorized, the app requests non-personalized advertisements and disables publisher first-party IDs. Non-personalized ads can still process technical data; they are not a guarantee of no data collection.

Where consent is required for advertising storage, personalization or tracking, the applicable privacy controls request it. You can withdraw consent for future processing through those controls. Google's notices explain its processing, retention and choices. Opening an advertisement can take you to another provider's app or website, governed by that provider's policy.

Purchases and diagnostics

Optional ride and costume unlocks are permanent, non-consumable purchases handled by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. The app processes product identifiers, prices and verified purchase-entitlement status to unlock and restore rides and costumes. It does not request or receive your payment-card details. Apple retains its own transaction records; deleting the game does not erase purchases or Apple's records.

The current app does not enable Unity Analytics, Unity Ads or Unity cloud crash reporting, and has no separate ANIMIST analytics service. This does not exclude the advertising SDK processing described above. Apple may process App Store, TestFlight and diagnostic information and make reports or tester feedback available to the developer under its services and your settings.

Retention and deletion

Local settings, records and saved-rider bookmarks remain until removed or the app's local storage is deleted. Deleting the app removes its local data subject to Apple's backup and restore behavior; offloading can retain it. System backups or device transfers may include app data. Manage backups separately, since restoring one may restore saved data.

ANIMIST cannot remotely read or erase records held only on your device. Removing the app or a local rider bookmark does not delete Game Center relationships, Apple transaction records or data already processed by Google. Use the relevant provider's privacy controls for that information, or contact us for help directing a request.

Children and family controls

Parents and guardians can use Apple's family and Screen Time controls to manage purchases and Game Center access. A general-audience ad-content filter is not an age check or a guarantee that advertising involves no personal data. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to ANIMIST, contact us so we can review and address the request.

Support and your rights

If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.

Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.

Service providers and international processing

Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. Contact ANIMIST for questions about providers involved in handling information we hold.

This website and policy changes

This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.

We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
