CHEER privacy policy

About this policy
CHEER, also named Cheer: Celebration Countdown, is an offline celebration countdown app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. This policy describes version 1.0 and how it handles information.
Information stored on your device
CHEER stores your saved countdown titles, target dates and times, selected time zones, celebration messages, presets, visual themes and sound preferences in its local app storage. Each saved countdown also has a locally generated identifier and creation date so the app can manage your events. These are event records, not advertising or account identifiers.
Countdown calculations, visuals and bundled sounds run on your device. ANIMIST does not receive your saved countdowns. The app does not make network requests or provide accounts, a backend, cloud synchronization or phone-to-TV pairing. Saved countdowns do not automatically synchronize between your devices.
Permissions, advertising and analytics
CHEER does not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar or GPS location. It uses the device time zone or a time zone you select, not your geographic coordinates. Audio playback does not record sound.
The app contains no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not sell or share your countdown data. Apple may separately process App Store, device or diagnostic information under its own privacy terms and your settings; this is distinct from data sent by CHEER.
App Store and device backups
Apple handles App Store downloads and any payment for the app. CHEER has no subscriptions or in-app purchases and does not request payment-card information.
Depending on your platform and device settings, ordinary system backups or device transfers may include local app data. This is separate from app-provided synchronization. Apple manages its backup and restore services; ANIMIST cannot access your device backups.
Keeping and deleting countdowns
Saved countdowns remain in local app storage until you delete them or that storage is removed. To remove an individual countdown, use Delete in My Countdowns. Deleting the app removes its local app data, subject to the platform's backup and restore behavior; offloading an app may retain data. Manage any backups separately in your device or Apple account settings.
ANIMIST cannot retrieve or delete countdowns held only on your device. If you contact us for help, avoid including private celebration details or other information that is not needed to resolve the issue.
Support and your rights
If you contact ANIMIST, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request, investigate problems and handle related legal obligations. Our email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Do not send passwords, account credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Where applicable, support processing is based on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legal obligations may require some records. Ask us about retention or deletion of correspondence. A parent or guardian may contact us about information a child has sent to support.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of personal data, or restriction of or objection to processing. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. ANIMIST can act on information it holds, not private device data or records independently controlled by another provider.
Service providers and international processing
Apple, advertising providers where used, and other services identified above process information under their own privacy notices. Hosting and email services also process data needed to deliver their services. Processing may take place outside your country or the European Economic Area; the applicable service notice describes its arrangements. Contact ANIMIST for questions about providers involved in handling information we hold.
This website and policy changes
This policy page contains no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies of its own. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and ordinary access logs to deliver and secure the page. Website privacy describes statistics used elsewhere on animist.ee.
We will revise this policy when the app or its data practices change and update the date above. Publishing a policy does not mean that every platform version is already available.
